Problems at the Pavia residence started in 2000 but the general public  first became aware of the dire circumstances on December 10, 2006, only weeks before my appearance in the proceeding, when the New York Times published "A House Divided: Uncivil War on E. 73rd." This multi-page expose, published at the top-fold of the Business Section, decribed the four year court battle as one of the "nastiest residential wrangels in recent memory."
