Couri's Admitted Forging of a Notary's Signature Raises Serious Credibility Questions About His Medical Claims

On November 11, 2009, Judge Michael D. Stallman wrote, "defendants have raised the issue as to whether Eileen Ohanian, a notary public licensed in California, administered the oath to [Couri] in affidavits submitted to the Court, as reflected in the jurat. In that motion, Ohanian avers that, after January 12, 2009, she did not notarize any affidavits from [Couri]. The serious allegations raise concerns as to the authenticity of the affirmations from the physicians that purportedly opine that [Couri] must refrain from participating in the litigation. Moreover, given the serious credibility questions they raise about [Couri], they also call into question [Couri]'s representations, including those about his health."

"As defendants indicate, such medical advice, if true, has not deterred [Couri] from making six motions since the latest affirmation from an oncologist, and from commencing another action against the defendants"
