James C. Couri Has $400,000 in Liabilities and Only $5,000 in Assets

James C. Couri fashions himself to be a financial consultant. Yet, on August 24, 2006, the Honorable Joan A. Madden of the NYS Supreme Court wrote: "Furthermore, [James C.] Couri states that he cannot pay [rent to George Pavia] as [Couri] has $400,000 in liabilities and $5,000 in assets, thus indicating that he is not now, and it is questionable he will be in a position in the future [to pay rent], even if a new payment schedule is granted." George Pavia, et al v. Couri, et al, Index No. 124625/02, page 13.
