In April 2016, James C. Couri was Found to be a Vexatious Litigant by California Superior Court and Ordered to Post a $40,000 Bond (if he Wished to Pursue his Umpteeth Lawsuit Against John Siebert).

On April 28, 2016, Judge David M. Chapman of the Riverside Superior Court in Palm Springs, California, (Case PSC1600482) found James Couri to be a vexatious litigant and ordered him to post a $40,000 bond, to be held as security to pay the legal fees incurred by defendants John Siebert and Joseph M. Burke, Esq., when Couri's claims were shown to be without merit. Couri did not post a $40,000 bond within 15 days and his complaint against Siebert and Burke was dismissed with prejudice.
