Details of Couri's three felony pleas.


Below are pages 3 and 4 of Couri's Presentence Memo ("Memo") submitted to the federal court in the case of United States of America vs. James C. Couri. The Memo was prepared by Couri's lawyers. The Memo indicates that Couri pled guilty to a total of three felonies contained in two informations.

At page 4 of the Memo, the three felonies to which Couri pled guilty are described in detail. Specifically, Couri pled guilty to a violation of the federal securities laws "by entering a [securities] order with the purpose of creating a false and misleading appearance with respect to the market for stock in Conrac Corp" in violation of 15 U.S.C. Sections 78i(a)(1) and 78ff(a). In addition, Couri pled guilty to "two counts of making false statements to a federally-insured bank for purposes of inducing a loan in violation of 18 U.S.C. Section 1014."
