In late August 2016, claiming illness, California pro se plaintiff James C. Couri VOLUNTARILY withdrew his motion to hold George Pavia in default for failing to answer Couri's $40 million complaint.

Not one of the 170,000 lawyers actively practicing in the State of California took on Couri's (vexatious and meritless) case against George Pavia—for it would be unethical for an attorney to advocate in court claims that are demonstrably false.
